Ballad Poem- Slavery
Imported Africans from Africa
Turned them into slaves like they did in Egypt
Brought them to the U.S.
Made them grow and pick cotton
Sold the cotton
South became the richest the richest place to live
The more land that you have the more slaves you own
Large plantation owners were the wealthiest in the south
After a while the South became the largest place for slave trade
South Carolina suceeded from the union because of the issue of slavery
South Carolina leaving was like losing a peice of the family
The North and South were divided
Abraham Lincoln saved the day like superman
Abraham's speech at Getysburg set the slaves free
Lincoln was assasinated at a theatre by an actor that supported slavery
